Center Director: Miss Amanda
Amanda has an enthusiasm and passion for helping children of all ages improve their academic skills. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Science from Madonna University where she majored in business and an elementary education certificate with concentrations in mathematics and integrated science following her studies at the University of Michigan, Dearborn. She is a trusted educator and has years of valuable experience working with students from kindergarten through high school. She is excited to be using her knowledge and years of classroom experience to run and operate The Tutoring Center, Southgate MI. A longtime resident of Southgate, Amanda is dedicated to bringing The Tutoring Center's proven model for academic success to the families of our Downriver area to allow their children to "Reach for the Highest Star!"
Head Instructor: Miss Therese
Therese is an experienced educator with a diverse background working with both elementary and secondary students. She earned her degrees in education and French from Huron University in South Dakota after spending one year studying abroad in France. Her passion for helping children succeed is evidenced by the care and compassion she displays while working with each and every student.
Head Instructor: Mr. Patrick
Patrick earned a full academic scholarship to Seton Hall University, where he majored in English and minored in criminal justice. Experienced in working with students of all ages in a variety of skills, he seeks to share his knowledge to help students succeed. He is a prospective writer, and passionate about ensuring that all children have the opportunity to thrive. 
Intern: Mr. Roger
Mr. Roger is currently a National Honor Society student at Theodore Roosevelt High School. His future plans are to follow his sister to The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor to major in Electrical Engineering or Computer Sciences. He enjoys learning, especially math, and is passionate about helping others develop their understanding across all subjects. 
Assistant Instructor - Mr. Noah
Noah is currently a student at the University of Michigan Dearborn where he is majoring in physics and minoring in astronomy. He graduated from Riverview High School where he was Salutatorian earning a full-ride scholarship. His future plans are to attend graduate school for Astrophysics once he completes his Bachelor’s Degree. He has a true passion and love for both math and science and has always enjoyed helping others by sharing his knowledge. 

Our classrooms feature an intense learning environment that combines “The Rotational Approach to Learning” and One-To-One Instruction. Both methods were developed by Edward S.Thalheimer, Ph.D., founder of THE TUTORING CENTER. Our innovative system gives your child far more One-to-One Instruction than he or she will ever receive in a classroom full of children, or even in a small group.

For instance, many schools provide after-school tutoring or intervention programs for students who are having difficulty in school, and maybe your child has been offered one in the past.
