Center Director: Miss Amanda
Amanda has an enthusiasm and passion for helping children of all ages improve their academic skills. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Science from Madonna University where she majored in business and an elementary education certificate with concentrations in mathematics and integrated science following her studies at the University of Michigan, Dearborn. She is a trusted educator and has years of valuable experience working with students from kindergarten through high school. She is excited to be using her knowledge and years of classroom experience to run and operate The Tutoring Center, Southgate MI. A longtime resident of Southgate, Amanda is dedicated to bringing The Tutoring Center's proven model for academic success to the families of our Downriver area to allow their children to "Reach for the Highest Star!"
Head Instructor: Miss Therese
Therese is an experienced educator with a diverse background working with both elementary and secondary students. She earned her degrees in education and French from Huron University in South Dakota after spending one year studying abroad in France. Her passion for helping children succeed is evidenced by the care and compassion she displays while working with each and every student.
Instructor: Mr. David
David is a graduate of the University of Michigan Dearborn where he majored in biology and minored in chemistry. His future plans include attending graduate school to earn his Master’s in Education. His love of learning is infectious and he excels in sharing his knowledge with others utilizing multiple approaches to ensure their understanding. 
Instructor: Mrs. Kim
Kim earned her undergraduate degree in elementary education from Michigan State University and her graduate degree in education from the University of Michigan Dearborn. A former classroom teacher, Ms. Kim is well versed in working with students of all ages and across multiple content areas. Her love and enthusiasm for teaching resonates with all students.
Assistant Instructor: Miss Katie
Katie is currently a student at Madonna University working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and secondary education, with a goal of one day teaching high school math. She hopes to use her enthusiasm for learning and passion for math to help students of all ages build confidence in both their academic and problem solving skills.
Assistant Instructor - Mr. Noah
Noah is currently a student at the University of Michigan Dearborn where he is majoring in physics and minoring in astronomy. He graduated from Riverview High School where he was Salutatorian earning a full-ride scholarship. His future plans are to attend graduate school for Astrophysics once he completes his Bachelor’s Degree. He has a true passion and love for both math and science and has always enjoyed helping others by sharing his knowledge. 

Our classrooms feature an intense learning environment that combines “The Rotational Approach to Learning” and One-To-One Instruction. Both methods were developed by Edward S.Thalheimer, Ph.D., founder of THE TUTORING CENTER. Our innovative system gives your child far more One-to-One Instruction than he or she will ever receive in a classroom full of children, or even in a small group.

You have many choices available for your child, and we want you to make the choice that's in your child's best interest. For instance, many schools provide after-school tutoring or intervention programs for students who are having difficulty in school, and maybe your child has been offered one in the past. Even though these programs are free to families, current research indicates that these programs are inefficient and time-consuming. Since they focus mostly on completing your child's homework, they can not offer you a permanent solution.
